Proper gchatting Techniques: How to write an away message

This was written by my friend Richard Louis (not Lewis) and serves as a critical lesson in gchat away message writing. Rich was saying that this was inspired by a WFMU dj, dave the spazz maybe. It’s an open challenge to average g chat users who endlessly abuse the away message function.

“Hi, this is Rich. Yeah, welcome to the club. I know that we’ll be sharing some great times together in the months ahead and now that you’re a member, it looks like we’re off to a really good start.”
